About the Organisation
International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is an alliance of over 250 national diabetes associations in more than 160 countries and territories. Our mission is to improve the lives of people with diabetes and prevent diabetes in those at risk. We have been at the vanguard of global diabetes advocacy for over 75 years. The organisation’s strategy is implemented by the Executive Office, which, for the last five years, has been working as a virtual organisation with team members across the globe.
About the role
We are looking to hire a well-structured, results-driven and enthusiastic Project Coordinator to join our Education team and work on our global programmes. The Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of global education initiatives, coordinating projects, and ensuring smooth learner and partner experiences.
Responsibilities
Educational initiatives:
- Support the planning, development, and delivery of IDF’s global education programmes;
- Coordinate day-to-day operations and ensure activities run smoothly;
- Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, and educational materials.
Platform and Learner Management:
- Oversee the operation of IDF’s online learning platforms, in collaboration with IT support and service providers;
- Manage course enrolments and access rights, monitor learner activity, and respond to queries;
- Ensure timely learner support and follow-up to guarantee a positive user experience.
- Partner and vendor coordination: Liaise with partners, service providers, and vendors to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality delivery;
- Projects and collaborations: Contribute to the coordination of joint projects with partner organisations, including preparation of reports, trackers, and timelines;
- Centres of Excellence:
- Coordinate the review of applications with the expert committee.
- Track annual reports from the Centres and provide ongoing follow-up and support.
- Events: Assist with IDF congresses/webinars in preparing and coordinating education-related sessions, and provide technical and logistical assistance as required.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
- Minimum 3 years in project coordination or educational programme support, preferably in NCDs;
- Strong communication and writing skills in English and French (other languages are an asset);
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders (NGOs, governments, industry);
- Proficiency with business software; knowledge of online learning platforms and basic AI tools is a plus.
- Ability to analyse and synthesise scientific and educational material;
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills;
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a multicultural, international, and virtual environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience;
