About the role
Bruegel is recruiting an Editorial Officer to join the communications team, offering a compelling working experience within one of the world’s top-rated economic policy think tanks. The post offers the opportunity to gain specific knowledge on outreach related to economic policy and European affairs, and to support the editorial curation of the organization's output.
Responsibilities
- Editing of Bruegel's written content;
- Support Bruegel’s Senior Editor;
- Support the editorial process management;
- Help manage the website.
- Support the monitoring of Bruegel’s impact via its various channels.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
Obligatory Qualifications and Competencies:
- Strong interest in economic policy and knowledge of European affairs;
- Excellent drafting and editing skills for texts targeting external audiences;
- High degree of attention to detail; proofreading skills, often for technical texts;
- Fluent written and spoken English (native or near-native speaker level);
- Ability to work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications and Competences:
- Ability to research, collate, analyze, and summarize information;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team;
- Capacity to work with people from different social and cultural backgrounds;
- Computer literacy.
Required Qualifications
- Academic background in political science, economics, social sciences, journalism, or equivalent;

- Remotely working in Brussels, Belgium
