Association of Pharmacy Technicians is the professional leadership body for pharmacy technicians across the UK. We lead, advocate, and represent the pharmacy technician profession for the benefit of patients, the public, and our members. We are a network of like-minded professionals, helping to shape the future for pharmacy technicians. We provide advice, information, and support to our members, championing and safeguarding the pharmacy technician profession and enhancing education and scope of practice. Following a period of significant growth.

About the role

Business Development and Communications Lead plays a strategic and cross-functional role within an organization, combining responsibilities in business growth with external and internal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a business development and communications plan that meets APTUK's strategic vision.
  • Develop and maintain new and existing relationships to generate income for APTUK through sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
  • Develop and drive communications and social media to:
  • Engage with pharmacy technicians, APTUK members, and stakeholders
  • Promote APTUK and its activities
  • Attract new members
  • Increase APTUK profile and awareness

Skills, Competencies & Experience

  • Business development and communications experience, underpinned by relevant business management qualifications
  • Experience in managing multiple professional social media accounts across different platforms, with knowledge of social media metrics.
  • Experience in producing reports and high-level communications
  • Up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy practice
  • Solution-driven, hands-on approach with excellent written and verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
