Gain insights into how associations are applying AI to greatest effect.
For associations, AI brings both promise and concern: unlocking inclusivity, responsiveness, and relevance, while raising questions about ethics, privacy and protection. This interactive session using AI-powered technology provided by Natter, will give members the chance to participate in an association-wide forum: what’s working, what’s not, and what we need to navigate the future wisely.
AI might be used strategically for convening and engaging all types of members, drawing actionable insights and fixing problems, and being a decisive leader on issues; whilst being open about the challenges in adopting the most sophisticated of technology.
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how associations understand, engage, and grow their communities.
In this forum, we will examine:
We are pleased to have joining us as speakers: Iliana Oris-Valiente, a Managing Director and Innovation Lead at Accenture, as well as Simon Shelley, former Global Director of Programming, BBC Studios, who we have worked with for many years.
Join us for a thought-provoking conversation exploring how AI can transform the way associations operate, drive deeper member engagement, and foster inclusive growth at scale.
This highly interactive session will give you a unique opportunity to join a collective conversation on critical themes that will drive the evolution in the association community.
For this unique experience, we’ll be using Natter (www.trynatter.com), an AI-powered conversational intelligence tool that connects participants in video conversations, anonymously captures perspectives and intelligently analyzes the responses.
Natter is used by Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, UCL and other organisations. It is fully anonymised and ISO 27001 compliant.
We will anonymously capture the collective wisdom of all the delegates in an hour. We will share the insights and results with all those who participate, to drive learning and mutual understanding.
This session is designed exclusively for the AAE, for association executives seeking to harness AI for greater strategic impact.
Managing Director and North American Innovation Lead, Accenture
I’m a connector of people, translator of ideas, builder.
Summary: corporate executive focused on emerging societal/tech trends, VC investor, board member, published author, public speaker, community builder, and global citizen. Fluency in these worlds allows me to spot new trends, consider the bigger picture and how it’ll affect humans. On a mission to build a future that humans want to live in.
How this looks in practice:
1) Managing Director + lead all NA innovation hubs at Accenture, working with senior exec clients and boards to support their transformation journeys. This includes a focus on our AI, metaverse/web3, and cross industry plays. In this role, I oversee teams that bring together specialists in design, data science, the venture ecosystem, tech, along with variety of industry experts to educate clients, inspire change and move forward with results.
2) Sit on a number of Boards of Directors (Sunnybrook Hospital, CPA Ontario). Advise startups (incl. at CDL incubator at University of Toronto)
3) Actively involved in investing through VC funds (focus on emerging fund managers via FOF).
4) I'm a published author and frequent speaker at global conferences, and featured in various media outlets (TV, radio, and print) eg Bloomberg, The Financial Times, CNBC, Globe&Mail
5) I’m building a community of global citizens, and connecting them to tools to streamline this “digital nomad+” lifestyle
I've been involved in the blockchain industry for many years and have advised corporations, government leaders, regulators, and startups as a translator between web2 and web3 worlds. Previously, I co-founded Rubix by Deloitte (the first ever blockchain consulting practice at a large firm, in the world, back in 2015…when people thought I was out of my mind). This kickstarted Deloitte’s global blockchain efforts…
My perspective has expanded, now encompassing overall tech and societal trends, with a particular emphasis on the future of work, life, and AI.
