About the role
As the Personal Assistant (PA) to the Director General, you will provide high-level administrative and organizational support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Director General’s office. You will act as the first point of contact, managing communications, schedules, and correspondence while maintaining a high level of discretion and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Director General in daily activities.
- Manage and coordinate the agenda, including scheduling meetings, calls, and appointments;
- Liaise with the EBS network and other relevant stakeholders;
- Organise and support internal and external meetings, including logistics, preparation of documents.
- Coordinate events and engagements, ensuring smooth planning and execution.
- Handle correspondence and communication in Dutch (Flemish), English, and French;
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all matters.
- Support with various ad-hoc administrative and organisational tasks.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position;
- Native Dutch (Flemish) speaker with excellent command of English and French;
- Good understanding of EU affairs and the EU political sector;
- Excellent organisational skills to prioritise and manage tasks simultaneously, often under tight deadlines;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with individuals at all levels;
- Ability to work independently;
- Positive attitude and outlook with the ability to combine creative and administrative work efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Educational background in business, management, communications, European affairs, political science or similar (preferred);
