Our vision is a world free from MND. Our mission is to improve care and support for people with MND, their families, and their carers. We fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure for MND. The Association also campaigns and raises awareness so that the needs of people with MND, as well as everyone who cares for them, are recognised and addressed by the wider society.
About the role
The Marketing Co-ordinator will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging marketing activity that promotes the work of the MND Association. Working closely with colleagues across the charity, the Marketing Co-ordinator will help create, deliver, and evaluate marketing plans, ensuring that our activities reach and resonate with diverse audiences. This role will suit someone with strong organisational skills, creativity, and experience working in a busy marketing environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate a wide range of marketing activities, ensuring collaboration between teams
- Manage schedules, resources, and communication channels to facilitate the implementation of marketing plans and initiatives in support of the Association’s goals
- Support the development and lead the implementation of audience-focused marketing plans from briefing through to delivery, identifying objectives, recommending communications channels, tactics, and metrics to ensure timely and effective delivery
- Work collaboratively across the Association to build effective relationships with key stakeholders and assess marketing needs
- Support the creation and distribution of engaging and informative stories, blogs, videos, and infographics to educate the public about MND, the Association’s activities, and impact
- Recommend strategies to distribute marketing and communications content effectively to reach and engage a wider audience
- Conduct market research, in-depth audience research, and analyse communications data to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of marketing plans and activity, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
- Support the Marketing Manager on campaign delivery and inform the marketing strategy
- Work with the Marketing Team to ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials and communications
- Uphold the Association’s brand guidelines and messaging principles to increase brand recognition, reinforce trust and credibility with core audiences and key stakeholders
- Support the development of process efficiency in marketing across the Association to streamline workflows
- Implement innovative tools and techniques that support the optimisation of marketing activity, enhance delivery, and deliver cost savings
- Support the creation of new materials, content, and campaigns to support the Association's objectives
- Support the planning and delivery of future fundraising/awareness campaigns
- Undertake all activities in a way that protects and enhances the reputation of the Association
- Undertake any other task relevant to the job purpose and ensure that all functions performed reflect the Association's mission and core values
Skills, Competencies & Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced marketing team
- Creative mindset and ability to think innovatively to develop impactful marketing plans
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to negotiate and manage multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines
- Effective team player with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail
