Head of Membership
National Association of Sessional GPs
Salary
£54,999 - £55,000 per year
About the Organisation
National Association of Sessional GPs (NASGP) is the NHS’s ‘social heart’ for sessional and portfolio clinicians. We support 2,500 active GP members within a 7,500-strong community and are connected to over half of England’s GP practices. Working in partnership with Local Medical Committees, provider organizations, commissioners, and connected to the Royal College of GPs, British Medical Association, and NHS leads at the Department of Health. We advocate for the flexible community-based clinical workforce, influence national policy, and deliver digital and local workforce solutions.
About the role
We’re a small, driven core team with an NHS social heart, and we need our first Head of Membership to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us. You’ll be a true team player, combining big-picture membership expertise with “get-it-done” oomph. No encyclopaedias of strategy here, just a one-page plan and the energy to roll up your sleeves.
You will own the end-to-end membership function: design and execute your strategy for recruitment, retention, engagement, and sponsorship; streamline processes; deliver data-driven reports; and forge commercial partnerships that attract sessional clinicians from across the country. If you’re an experienced membership professional who thinks strategically but thrives on tactical delivery, let’s talk!

- Define, track, and report on all membership metrics to the CEO and Board.
- Ensure GDPR and HMRC (Gift Aid) compliance for member data and fees.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and influencers.
