Our vision is a world free from MND. Our mission is to improve care and support for people with MND, their families, and their carers. We fund and promote research that leads to new understanding and treatments and brings us closer to a cure for MND. The Association also campaigns and raises awareness so that the needs of people with MND, as well as everyone who cares for them, are recognised and addressed by the wider society.
About the role
We're looking for a skilled Digital Marketing Officer to help us reach more people and drive meaningful engagement through paid media channels. As Digital Marketing Officer, you'll manage and deliver paid advertising campaigns that support the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association's strategy, promises, and mission.
You will work closely with our Digital Engagement Manager and agency partners to plan and optimise campaigns across social media, search, and other digital platforms. Your focus will be to grow our online presence, support fundraising and engagement, and ensure all paid activity aligns with our strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the MND Association’s digital marketing agency to brief campaigns, review performance, and ensure all activity aligns with campaign objectives and budgets
- Plan and execute digital advertising campaigns across paid social media, paid search, and other relevant channels to support the Association’s digital marketing objectives
- Working closely with the Digital Engagement Manager, contribute to the development and delivery of the Association’s digital marketing strategy, ensuring paid activity is aligned with the Engagement strategy and marketing objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams, including fundraising, campaigning, national care, and more, to identify digital marketing opportunities and support them in achieving their objectives through effective campaign planning and delivery
- Work closely with the Income Generation team to drive digital fundraising performance, monitoring return on investment and driving lifetime value
- Monitor and analyse data from all digital campaigns, setting KPIs and providing regular performance reports with actionable insights to demonstrate impact, improve ROI, and optimise future ads
- Manage digital advertising budgets effectively, ensuring spend is tracked, optimised, and aligned with targets
- Support the creation of compelling digital ad content by liaising with the Digital Content Creator,
- Graphic Designer, and external agencies - creating additional assets when required
- Work closely with the Social Media Officer to align paid and organic social strategies and content, ensuring a consistent message across all social media channels
- Help ensure consistent branding, tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging across all digital ad placements and campaign touchpoints
- Stay informed with emerging digital trends, tools, and platform updates, and propose new opportunities for growth and engagement.
- Undertake any other task relevant to the job purpose and ensure that all functions performed reflect the Association's mission and core values.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Proven experience planning, delivering, and optimising paid digital advertising campaigns
- Strong understanding of digital advertising principles
- Experience working with digital marketing agencies or external partners to deliver successful campaigns
- Confident using digital platforms (Google Ads Manager, Meta Ads Manager, and similar)
- Demonstrated ability to manage digital advertising budgets, ensuring cost-effective spend
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing ad copy, targeting, and campaign performance data
- Ability to interpret campaign data and translate insights into clear reports and recommendations
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Knowledge of digital marketing trends, platforms, and best practices
