About the Organisation
Eurelectric is the sector association that represents the common interests of the electricity industry at a European level. Since 2019, Eurelectric has been animating a growing network of more than 50 corporates that comprise our business membership in addition to the 3500 electric utilities and associations that comprise our core full membership. Eurelectric is managing 4 distinct Business Hubs which facilitate connections and live peer exchanges on digital, e-mobility, electricity grids, and corporate energy sourcing.
About the role
Eurelectric is recruiting a Business Development Officer whose main responsibility will be growing Eurelectric’s business opportunities, including acquiring new business members and supporting business hub arrangements and logistics.
Responsibilities
Business Development Officer:
- Run Eurelectric Business Membership sales process from A2Z: develop value propositions, prepare sales support materials, generate leads, outreach, pitching, closing deals, and contracting.
- Support additional sales and sponsorship processes for events, studies, projects, and campaigns;
- Support the operations of Eurelectric’s Business Hubs, including its planning, content development, speaker arrangements, and logistics;
- Assist the BD team in the development and pitching of sponsorship packages;
- Support our presence at third-party events: plan and manage the logistics, set up b2b meetings, and organise team presence at international conferences or trade fairs;
- Stay informed on relevant industry trends and track business opportunities.
Skills, Competencies & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in business development and sales;
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to support projects and manage multiple prospects;
- Experience in using CRM systems and data-driven approaches to manage leads, track performance, and report on acquisition progress;
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding acquisition/sales targets;
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and external stakeholders;
- Excellent oral and written communication and relationship-building skills with proven experience in presenting, pitching, and negotiating.
- Willingness to travel for business-related activities;
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field Business, Economics, Political Science, or similar
