Hong Kong Tourism Board welcomes the full resumption of normal travel between Hong Kong and the mainland

Dr Pang Yiu Kai, Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), welcomes the Government announcement of full resumption of normal travel, which removes all quotas for travellers crossing the Hong Kong-Mainland boundaries, fully opens all ports of entry, restores group tours between Hong Kong and the Mainland, and lifts the pre-departure vaccination requirement for overseas visitors.

Dr Pang said, “Riding on the launch of the ‘Hello Hong Kong’ global promotion and the full resumption of normal travel between Hong Kong and the Mainland, this is now the best time to step up efforts to promote our tourism recovery, by spreading and emphasising the key message of Hong Kong’s tourism resumption and welcoming visitors from around the world. We are confident that the new arrangements will attract Mainland and overseas visitors to Hong Kong to enjoy a wide range of new experiences.” Following the roll out of “Hello Hong Kong” promotional campaign, the HKTB has launched a series of promotions to revive tourism. The HKTB has produced a series of thematic videos, which will be broadcast on 3,000 platforms worldwide. The HKTB will also lead the local travel trade to participate in large-scale global travel trade shows and trade events, and invite overseas media, the travel trade, KOLs and Hong Kong Super Fans to Hong Kong to enjoy the experiences in person.

To deliver a welcome gesture for visitors, the HKTB will also join hands with 16,000 outlets in the city to provide offers. Among which, at least one million “Hong Kong Goodies” visitor consumption vouchers, valued at over $100 each, will be given out.
