Association Awards UK - get your nomination in before 15 September

Association news
Published on 1 September 2020

This year's Association Awards UK is receiving a lot of interest, with many executives nominating colleagues or themselves, as well as their associations and very interesting projects. With 18+ categories to enter, any association, executive or project undertaken in the last 14 months can be nominated.

We are delighted to see that many associations have responded to the challenges imposed by the Covid19 pandemic, by quickly adapting to the new situation and finding time and resources to change their course and prioritise supporting their members. The Best Member Support during Covid19  is one of the most popular categories this year.

As expected, projects that were mostly developed online, such as online events or initiatives focused on online communities, have received a lot of attention from associations especially in the last 6 months, and therefore we are receiving interesting nominations in these categories as well.

While there might not have been many physical events taking place for the most part of 2020, extending the eligibility criteria by allowing projects developed in the last 14 months (previously 12 months) to be nominated is ensuring that the conferences and events that did happen qualify and can be entered.

We are recognising the leadership, expertise and innovation of association executives with categories for key personnel in specific roles.

If you're not sure whether to enter, here are 5 reasons why you should:
  • Show your members the quality of the work you produce for them
  • Receive recognition that can support your career progression
  • Show appreciation for the hard work and results of your employees, volunteers and your Executive Head
  • Enhance your organisation's brand and reputation with a great PR opportunity
  • Take the opportunity to celebrate your success!

Nominating yourself or a colleague, a project or your association, the deadline for submitting your entry is Tuesday, 15 September. We have shorter forms than in previous years and you can submit easier, via the portal.

See the categories and how to enter. It's free to enter any number of nominations and free to attend the ceremony if you are a finalist.

The Awards Ceremony will take place online, on Thursday 15 October, during the Associations Congress UK.
