We are delighted to announce the Africa Association Awards 2020 has opened for nominations.

As in previous years, there are no fees to submit a nomination or attend the awards ceremony if you are a finalist.

There are 10 different categories. Some of these are new and were introduced to reflect the current climate and to recognise how associations responded to their members’ needs.

The people categories include Association Leader of the Year and Association Employee of the Year - association executives can nominate themselves or a colleague.

The new project categories are Best Member Support during Covid19 and Best Online Event, both of which are expected to be popular as a lot of hard work was done to deliver these in difficult times.

  • Any membership organisation based in Africa can be nominated
  • The nominations deadline is on Tuesday, 15 September
  • The Awards Ceremony will take place on 5 November, during the Africa Associations Congress

Nominations are to be completed online with the Pixl8 awards system.  For full details of how to Submit a Nomination, see here.  You are now able to start a nomination, save it as a draft, and return later to complete it.

Once the nomination deadline is past, the functionality of the system will enable us to use scoring and weighting in the judging - moving away from the less rigourous ranking approach.

Best of luck to all the nominees!
