About the role
This role leads ReNew2030’s core operations across finance, risk, grants, MEL & partner management. You will steer the annual budgeting process, ensure clear cost mapping, and prepare financial reports. You will maintain RN2030’s risk plans and registers in coordination with relevant ECF teams, manage reporting and meetings, and lead grant grant-making plan and day-to-day operations.
You will work collaboratively with external stakeholders and partners, building trust and delivering milestones through planning and problem-solving. Finally, you will oversee operations, supervising and guiding the team on on-granting, procurement, governance, and ops-related donor work, while monitoring compliance with approved policies, procedures, and processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process with ECF finance, ensuring clear cost mapping to donor lines and timely variance analysis
- Prepares donor financial reports with schedules and supporting documents
- Maintain and manage RN2030’s risk plans and registers, including coordination with relevant ECF teams
- Leads RN2030’s regular schedule of reports and meetings, including preparing materials for RN2030’s implementation and funding partners’ meetings
- Lead RN2030’s grantmaking plan and day-to-day operations, and be timely in on-granting to partners
- Serve as a key liaison with external stakeholders and partners, cultivating strong, trust-based relationships and keeping milestones on schedule.
- Lead RN2030’s MEL plan and ensure the results framework is kept up to date
- Commission targeted evaluations and learning summaries to inform decisions and adaptations
- Oversee different aspects of operational management and supervise, provide direction, guide, and develop the team in areas such as on-granting, procurement, governance and ops-related donor work
- Monitor compliance with approved operations policies, procedures, and processes.
- Hold line management responsibility for members of a growing team
Skills, Competencies & Experience
Requirements:
- At least 10 years’ experience in operation management, project programme management and administration
- Strong track record in financial management, with a high level of attention to detail in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Proven line management experience, including setting priorities, supporting professional development, and conducting performance reviews.
- Strong time and priority management skills, attention to detail, diligence and reliability
- Helps refine ways of working by noticing what could be improved and suggesting practical alternatives
- Positive, can-do approach with a focus on solutions & comfortable working independently and using discretion
- Grounded experience in middle-income country contexts.
- Comfortable balancing rigour and practicality
- Ability to effectively prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Computer-literate with proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, economics, international development, finance or another relevant area.
