Job description

We’re currently looking for a Sectors and Communities Executive on a full time 7 month fixed term basis. This position sits within the Sectors and Communities team within the membership Department, based primarily from home with the option to work from Glasgow or London offices.

The job

Reporting to the Sectors and Communities Lead on a day to day basis, you’ll be involved in the following:

  • Support the team in building and supporting communities that deliver tangible value to members.
  • Provides coordination and administrative support to assist the team to effectively engage members and support network and panel activity.
  • Analyses data and customer satisfaction reports to produce insights that evaluates the effectiveness of engagement activity and supports continuous improvement.
  • Works with BDEs and Marketing to coordinate the identification of suitable member advocates for campaigns and professional insights projects.
  • Support member and affiliates retention campaigns and in researching members, affiliates, partners and competitors as required.
  • Provides event management support for larger events working collaboratively as needed e.g. Virtual Careers Fairs and attends and represents ACCA at industry and sector events as required as required.

The person

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Some experience of supporting communities and/or working volunteers.
  • Experience of supporting delivery of digital and face to face events
  • Experience of digital platforms – marketing platforms, MS Teams, conferencing platforms
  • An interest of accountancy related issues (a finance background would be an advantage)
  • An interest of education, skills & careers landscape
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build long term, high quality, trusted relationships up to, and including, board level;
  • Confident communicator with good presentation skills, both written and oral including on digital platforms.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience of working in matrixed teams.
  • Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic; able to work independently;
