About the Organisation
Junior Enterprises Europe (JEE) is the European Confederation responsible for representing all the Junior Enterprises on the continent, bringing together over 35000 students across 17 countries in a Network that generates a cumulative turnover of 19M€.
JEE helps students build professional skills through real business experience. This experience teaches students to work, think creatively, and make a difference. The organisation partners with different institutions and other stakeholders to create projects, events, and policies that generate impact. We work with partners to make sure these projects help students gain skills, as students learn by doing.
About the role
We are currently looking for a Partnerships & Grants Development Officer to work together with us in the implementation of grant-based projects and applications for grants in the fields of active citizenship, non-formal education and entrepreneurship.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining relationships with European institutions, NGOs, other youth organisations, funders, corporate partners, and other relevant stakeholders
- Identifying and assessing relevant public funding opportunities, private partnerships, and long-term opportunities aligned with JEE’s mission
- Representing Junior Enterprises Europe at external meetings, network events, institutional gatherings, and other relevant opportunities
- Supporting the drafting of high-quality grant applications, project concepts, and partnership proposals in collaboration with the Board
- Supporting the preparation and organisation of dissemination activities and events within the JEE network
- Gradually taking on a stronger strategic and representative role within the organisation, with the perspective of growing into a long-term position supporting JEE’s external development.
Skills, Competencies, Experience & Attributes
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in European grant management, fundraising, partnerships, and project development
- Demonstrated understanding of the full grant lifecycle, including opportunity identification, proposal development, implementation, and reporting
- Strong knowledge of European funding schemes, such as Erasmus+ European Youth Foundation, and similar
- Ability to represent an organisation professionally in external meetings, events, and stakeholder interactions
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage confidently with NGOs, European institutions, and public bodies
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, international NGO environment
- Proactive mindset with strong ownership, accountability, and willingness to grow with the organisation
Knowledge & Experience:
- Knowledge of French or Dutch
- Experience with non-formal education
- Prior engagement in youth NGOs or other NGOs at the national/European level is highly valued
