Job description

The Role

The Law Society of England and Wales is looking to recruit an experienced Member Engagement Manager to join our Membership Engagement & Services Team. Working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the role will be responsible for developing and co-ordinating the delivery of tailored membership services and engagement programmes that deliver increased awareness, take-up and satisfaction with the member offer. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying and developing ways to improve members' experiences and needs via our products and services.

What we're looking for

We are looking for someone with a proven track record in developing content-based products and services for clients or members such as online and in-person events, newsletters, magazines, networking and social media. We are looking for someone who is excellent in owning and developing tailored activities in response to member or client needs.

The successful candidate will be both a thinker and a doer, able to interpret information from multiple sources, act on the insights, spot opportunities and create programmes, collaborating effectively with colleagues and members. You will be skilled in knowing how to get the best out of committees / subject matter experts.

In addition you will be a proactive, creative person who is a quick study, with a business development approach and can-do attitude and a desire to be the best and deliver excellence.

This role is responsible for a large segmented professional audience and requires excellent stakeholder and influencing skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working as a conference producer, content specialist, a collaborative approach, comfort working with a senior stakeholder audience and knowledge or experience in the legal sector or in professional services will put candidates ahead in the selection process.

What's in it for you

We offer hybrid working options, a generous flexible benefits package including a generous pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday per year (which increases with length of service) plus bank holidays and private medical insurance. We are a friendly working environment and provide the opportunity to develop your career within a professional organisation with our own development academy.

We believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce and strongly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the organisation, including LGBT+ people, people with disabilities and people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
