Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for a Head of People to lead and manage a small team to deliver organisational led services.
The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around 6 million people. What you’ll do
- Lead the People team and ensure the provision of a high quality, effective organisation focused approach to employee relations, policies and procedures, recruitment and selection, learning and development, and employee life cycle services.
- Drive the NHF forward as an employer of choice and execute the people strategy to promote a high-performance culture that supports the organisations business needs and long-term strategic goals.
- Lead on engagement with the trade union, and employee groups, EDI staff group and Great workplace group.
About you
- You’ll be an experienced Head of People/HR or senior HR Business Partner.
- You’ll have experience of leading and motivating a People/HR team or function to deliver effective services.
- You’ll have demonstrable experience of effectively delivering equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- You’ll have experience of managing a budget.
- You’ll understand the importance of training and development and the ability to find creative learning solutions.
