This is an exciting opportunity to be a key figure in a growing international membership organisation at a time of change.

WAGGGS has Member Organisations in 150 countries and operates residential centres in India, Mexico, Switzerland and the UK.

The Head of Finance and Corporate Services role is key to ensuring the organisation continues to grow and flourish. The successful candidate will be a change-maker who maximises the impact of WAGGGS’ resources and ensures it is well-run, high performing, agile and focused on delivering excellent results throughout our complex membership organisation.

The role oversees our Finance, Human Resources, IT, and UK office facilities teams but will also lead and coordinate risk management across WAGGGS.

About you: 

As the successful candidate, you will be a professionally qualified accountant and member of a recognised accounting association. You will have substantial experience at a senior level, including financial management systems and the preparation of financial statements to recognised accounting standards.

You will have a track record of leading Finance and Corporate Services functions at an executive level in a complex organisation, with sufficient exposure to effectively manage the core functions of Finance, Human Resources, IT and Facilities.

You will also have successful experience of working in partnership with volunteers and volunteer-led committees and a thorough understanding of the distinctive requirements of charity finance management/ accounting including cause-related marketing, charitable grant- giving and stewardship of investments and other charitable assets.

Finally, you will be a dynamic leader and a proactive team player working collaboratively with fellow members of the staff leadership team. You will also be highly focused and passionate about the difference excellent corporate services can make to the organisation’s performance, impact and continuous improvement.
