Job description

Salary circa £29,598 per annum (full time 36 hours per week). 
We may also consider flexible working, job share, or part-time.  This post is for maternity cover, initially 10 months, possibly extending further. 

Benefits include: 29.5 days holiday, flexible working policy, non-contributory healthcare benefits and a company pension scheme.

The British Dietetic Association is a professional body and trade union and is the leading organisation of nutrition professionals in the UK; representing the nutrition and dietetic workforce across all sectors. We are seeking an experienced Events Officer. 

This post reflects the importance to the organisation of high quality, innovative events; mainly for the membership of the BDA. The post holder will lead this activity with strong, commercial business acumen, awareness of educational priorities and help develop the BDA brand as the UK's leading authority on diet and nutrition. This post leads on the programme and content of events and ensures delivery of this programme through networking with other members of staff. The events calendar is primarily educational and networking in nature and includes the annual general meeting and awards ceremony.

Based in our office in Birmingham city centre, but with national coverage and occasional overnight stays may be necessary.
