Job description

Co-ordination of Working groups and activities as per assigned tasks aiming at contributing to the overall EDU department yearly goals.
The ultimate goal is to reach the overall ESMO goal of promoting Education and disseminating knowledge in the Medical oncology field.

Responsibilities

Organization of Education events considering all aspects:
Content: coordinate the working group in charge of defining the content for each specific field in Oncology
Materials: make sure scientific materials are ready, checked by responsible functions and available for participants
Logistics: choose the appropriate premises, ensure technology is properly set up, define accommodations, take care of any aspect related to logistics that has to facilitate education
Speakers’ coordination: make sure speaker are well coordinated for the event, have prepared their presentations and materials, are aligned on the course of actions for the event
Participants’ enrolment: take care of participants’ enrolments
Manage in a timely and dedicated manner any emerging aspects related to the organization of educational events, in respect of quality standards set by ESMO

Requirements

Basic training and specialisation:
Master Degree
 
Required professional experience


At least 2 years experience in the organization of Educational Events / Trainings


Personal/Character Requirements

The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, motivated and flexible while also being a hard worker, fast learner and good communicator. The position requires a high level of organisation, planning and good time management.

This role involves interaction with many collaborators and so the candidate must be skilled at relating and adapting to different situations, culturally and socially sensitive, calm, patient, and courteous. Good verbal communication for presentations and meeting management and good written communication for report-writing are essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to show initiative, creativity and commitment.
Finally, good team-work, open-mindedness and a sense of humour are indispensable.
Valid permit to work in Switzerland
