Registrant Data Usage
When attending physical and online events, the registrant's data is handled as follows:
- For all events: Name, Job title and Organisation are provided to all registrants (delegates, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, media) under the Delegate Terms & Conditions
- For Showcases a condition of registering / attending (made clear on registration) is that the registrant's contact details (Phone number and Email) are also provided to the speaker / company of the session(s) the registrant attends
- For Webinars and some other events, registrants are provided the option (when registering) for their contact details (Phone number and Email) to be provided to the speaker(s), for follow up and other communications by them or their organisation
- For Masterclasses, Name, Job title, email and phone number are provided to the tutor
How is this data used by registrants?
- Any registrant who receives the Name, Job title and Organisation data may themselves research contact information or identify contact information they already hold, and contact another registrant directly, in any way they wish
- Registrants to Showcases and Webinars who are to receive the list of registrants are required to adhere to the Registrant Data Use Policy below
Registrant Data Use Policy
Recipients of registrant data are required to adhere to the terms and conditions of the policies below
Registrants who receive the list of registrants which includes Name, Job title and Organisation:
- May not communicate with the registrant before the event takes place, unless they are a current client of the sender or have been in communication with the registrant for no more than 6 months before receiving the list
- May not pass this data to a third-party except where that party is a "data processor" and the registrant is the "data controller"
- All data is handled according to the GDPR regulations of the European Union and United Kingdom
Registrants who receive the list of registrants with emails and / or phone numbers :
- All mass communication to registrants should include a Unsubscribe option, which immediately prevents communictation after that time
