PEOPLE:

1. International Executive Director of the Year

This category recognises leadership, expertise and innovation at the most senior level.

The nominee should have obtained outstanding achievements while demonstrating the qualities of a true leader, a visionary, an innovator and with know-how in the sector. Nominees should illustrate excellence in leadership and innovation in their contribution to the organisation and the sector.

This nomination is open to: Executive Directors, Secretaries General, Managing Directors, Chief Executive Officers, All Executive Heads, where the nominee has held the position for at least two years in an international membership organisation.

2. European Executive Director of the Year

This category recognises leadership, expertise and innovation at the most senior level.

The nominee should have obtained outstanding achievements while demonstrating the qualities of a true leader, a visionary, an innovator and with know-how in the sector. Nominees should illustrate excellence in leadership and innovation in their contribution to the organisation and the sector.

This nomination is open to: Executive Directors, Secretaries General, Managing Directors, Chief Executive Officers, All Executive Heads, where the nominee has held the position for at least two years in a European membership organisation.

3. International Association Executive of the Year

This category recognises the expertise, achievements and the impact of association executives. 
 
The nominee should have obtained outstanding achievements while being an expert in their area and a strategic manager who made a significant impact and/or brought substantial financial contribution to his organisation. 

This category is open to association employees or volunteer executive officers working in any area of the association except Executive Directors, Secretaries General, Managing Directors, Chief Executive Officers and Executive Heads who have their own category. 

The nominee should have held the position for at least two years in an international membership organisation. 

4. European Association Executive of the Year

This category recognises the expertise, achievements and the impact of association executives. 
 
The nominee should have obtained outstanding achievements while being an expert in their area and a strategic manager who made a significant impact and/or brought substantial financial contribution to his organisation. 

This category is open to association employees or volunteer executive officers working in any area of the association except Executive Directors, Secretaries General, Managing Directors, Chief Executive Officers and Executive Heads who have their own category.

5. National Association Leader of the Year

This category recognises leadership, expertise and innovation at the most senior level.

The nominee should have obtained outstanding achievements while demonstrating the qualities of a true leader, a visionary, an innovator and with know-how in the sector. Nominees should illustrate excellence in leadership and innovation in their contribution to the organisation and the sector.

This nomination is open to: Executive Directors, Secretaries General, Managing Directors, Chief Executive Officers, All Executive Heads, where the nominee has held the position for at least two years in a national membership organisation that is NOT based in the United Kingdom.

PROJECTS:

6. Effective Voice of the Year

This category recognises the advancement of a cause or a sector. 

This could include lobbying for legislation change, a publicity campaign, an industry / sector day and any other types of campaign excluding social media campaigns and member recruitment or engagement initiatives, which have their own category. 

Campaign elements include communications to lawmakers, press releases, press releases, campaign specific micro-sites, blogs and web pages, any platforms, tools, printed materials and activities for raising awareness and engagement and for achieving the goals and objectives of the campaign.

Measurable achievements include evidence of legislative action / support / change, quantity, quality and reach of media coverage, statistics for online and offline engagement, impressions, page views, shares, mentions and any data related to the advancement of a cause or sector, measured against stated goals.

This category is open to campaigns primarily planned and implemented in the last 12 months. 

7. Best Conference Development

This category recognises the successful development or growth of an element of or the whole of an existing conference. 

Conference elements include the exhibition, the campaign, the programme, the webcasting, the financial results and any distinct elements that are part of the conference.  

Measurable achievements may include statistics such as growth of attendees or particular segment of attendees, growth in delegate, sponsor or exhibitor revenue, attendee engagement via the mobile app and on social media platforms, net promoter score, against stated goals and in comparison with the previous year’s statistics. 

This category is open to recurring conferences that underwent significant changes in one or more areas, primarily planned and implemented in the last 12 months.

8. Best New Conference or Event

This category recognises a successfully planned and implemented new event.

It includes an exhibition, seminar series, road show, seminar, conference, congress, virtual conference or other event. 

Measurable achievements include statistics such as number of attendees, exhibitors, sponsors; revenue, education evaluations, net promoter score, etc. measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to new events, primarily planned and implemented in the last 12 months. This category is not open to already established events, which have their own category. 

9. Best Use of Event Technology

This category recognises the use of an event technology to improve, enhance and add value to the experience of attendees or the management of an event. 

It includes mobile apps, registration and management systems, webcasting & recording and other event technologies. 

Measurable achievements include statistics regarding downloads, usage, logins, engagement, shares on social media, measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to events using technologies primarily planned and implemented in the last 12 months.

10. Best Membership Campaign

This category recognises a successful substantial change in member recruitment, retention or engagement or a distinct member recruitment, retention or engagement project. 

This includes online discussion forums, online and offline materials, micro-sites, blogs, online and offline material, social media, apps and any other means or platform for reaching and engaging members.  

Measurable achievements include statistics such as increase in readership, responses, event attendance, media viewings, online traffic, subscriptions, open rates, phone calls to the organisation, forms completed, etc. measured against stated goals.

This category is open to campaigns primarily developed and implemented in the last 12 months. 

11. Best Association Mobile App

This category recognises the adoption and successful use of an association mobile app.

It includes features such as News, Resources, Jobs Vacancies, Events listings, Member discussion, member profile and location, member directory with search functionality, messaging service, personalisation and other digital services and products, contact, options to easy share on social media. The app should be integrates with the main website, CMS and/org CRM/AMS system.

Measurable achievements include adoption rates by members, logins, engagement, usage, response to push notifications, signups to newsletters and new services and products, shares on social media, measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to association mobile apps adopted by an association primarily in the last 24 months. 

12. Best Professional Development and Education

This category recognises a new or significantly updated professional development or education offering.

It includes certificate programmes, training, e-learning or other professional development activity or digital services and products, designed to provide professional development or education.

Measurable achievements include statistics such as number of participants,  users or subscribers, revenue from sales, education levels and scores, login frequency / number of sessions, session duration, engagement, etc. measured against stated goals.

This category is open to new or significantly improved initiatives, primarily planned and implemented in the last 12 months. 

13. Best Association E-Newsletter

This category recognises a successful and newly designed or developed e-newsletter. 

Measurable achievements include statistics such as increased open rates, increased click-throughs, comments and replies, shared, social media reach / impressions, and increased call to actions, measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to newsletters that have been primarily developed or produced and distributed in the last 12 months. 

14. Best Social Media Campaign

This category recognises a successfully planned and implemented distinct social media campaign.
 
The campaign may include social media platforms, campaign specific web pages, micro-sites or blogs and any social media tools and platforms used for engagement, raising awareness or for achieving the goals and objectives of the campaign.

Measurable achievements include statistics such as mentions, retweets, shares, likes, reach, impressions, page views, comments, calls to action, purchases, sales volumes, subscriptions and any other data related to increased awareness of an issue or take up of a service, event or product, measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to campaigns primarily planned and implemented in the last 12 months. This category is not open to member recruitment or member engagement campaigns, which have their own categories. 

15. Best Association Video

This category recognises a video, video series or video channel, and is not for educational videos as these have their own category, or for event recordings.

Measurable achievements include statistics such as viewer analytics, response levels to videos, social media shares and reach, as well as the production and quality of video, measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to videos primarily produced in the last 12 months.

16. Best Association Website

This category recognises either a new or a significantly updated website. It includes the organisation’s website or a subsite produced for the organisation, with a personalised experience for users.

Measurable achievements include statistics such as site analytics, stickiness, logins, number and length of sessions, evidence of member and user engagement, responses to a call to action, user experience evaluations, personalisation measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to websites launched or updated in the last 12 months. 

17. Best National Association Project (not UK)

This category recognises either a new association project.

Measurable achievements include any statistics measured against stated goals. 

This category is open to projects developed and were launched in the last 12 months by a national association NOT based in the United Kingdom.

ORGANISATIONS:

18. International Association of the Year

This category recognises any membership organisation or chapter for its successful achievements.

Measurable achievements include and are not limited to notable and successful projects such as events, campaigns and development of services and products; income generation; membership growth, retention, engagement and satisfaction; leadership within the association; contribution to the advancement and success of the organisation and sector. 

This category is open to International membership organisations. 

19. European Association of the Year

This category recognises any membership organisation or chapter for its successful achievements.

Measurable achievements include and are not limited to notable and successful projects such as events, campaigns and development of services and products; income generation; membership growth, retention, engagement and satisfaction; leadership within the association; contribution to the advancement and success of the organisation and sector. 

This category is open to European membership organisations. 

20. National Association of the Year (not UK)

This category recognises any membership organisation or chapter for its successful achievements.

Measurable achievements include and are not limited to notable and successful projects such as events, campaigns and development of services and products; income generation; membership growth, retention, engagement and satisfaction; leadership within the association; contribution to the advancement and success of the organisation and sector. 

This category is open to national membership organisations NOT based in the United Kingdom.
